What an awesome toy !!

I bought one for my 6 yr-old grandson and then had to buy another so we could lay down interlocking fields of fire off the front porch – the neighborhood is far more peaceful today !

The Vulcan is a little heavy for him, so we taught him how to aim and fire using the tripod. It tends to chew up batteries too quickly, but all in all, what a great weapon for a grandson -

Ok so I got one and it was pretty cool,I did not shoot it alot at the time.A few days later I turn it on and start shooting it and the belt kept jamming,I look at it and it looked like it was catching on something.So I lift the belt and push the trigger and the piston jams,great.A warning, never lift belt while its feeding.A few weeks later I got another one and a freind of mine shot it and the same problem happend,but he did not lift the belt.It really is a good gun I wouldnt rate it 5 stars if it was not But I question how durable it is.I plan to get another one sometime.Sorry, I dont mean to complain.This gun is nice {despite the belt sometimes not working}it really is powerful.I think it works better on its tripod sitting in place like a battle station.It feeds the whole belt fast,so its best to get lots of refills {walmart is best for refills 7.99+tax}.I also think suction dart refills are good for it Oh,thats another thing the vulcan can use any micro dart.I havent used it for dart tag,but I think it would be good for that to.anyhow it really is a good nerf gun,just remember to take good care of it.

Ok, first off let me say, thanks to Hasbro because I don’t have a lot of money to buy a Nintendo Wii! So this is sooo great. I’m a huge fan of Dance Dance Revolution, so this was right up my alley! U Dance is sooo fun and user friendly lol I got it last night at target for 74.99. I mean come on…whats 10cents? Anyhoo, my friends were with me and I hooked up to my TV, we were laughing and making fun of each other, because we looked crazy but it was soooo much fun!!

Also, I saw Chris Brown advertise this on The Ellen Degeneres show and I immediately fell in love because I haven’t the money for a Wii yet. So thanks to Chris Brown too! His ‘Run It’ song is on there as well as Rihanna’s ‘Please Don’t Stop the Music’. Balls of fun people!!

The music is up to date, a bit, but then there’s some old school MC Hammer “Can’t Touch This’ and Jackson 5 ‘ABC’ on there, I’m 21 by the way and I can recall all the music on there. I recommend this, simply because it’s fun, my friends and I were hanging out and having fun, plus all 3 of us worked up a sweat!!! lol It was great.

If I’m wrong someone tell me I’m wrong…but I know I’m right…this game rocks my socks!! lol BUY IT!! What’s a little splurge in life…lol

This game rocks. It tracks your feet like magic–however you move, that’s what you see on the screen. The dancing starts easy, and gets really tough on the hard levels. It really gets you dancing, even someone like me who can’t dance at all. We’ve tried Dance Dance Revolution, but that doesn’t feel at ALL like dancing, this one really does feel like dancing. You actually need to sweep your feet, jump, cross…My 7 year old loves it, and it’s also really great exercise, it got me sweating. Even my 4 year old can play one of the games that comes with it (the funny lizard one). The song selection is great too–there are new songs I don’t know (yes, I’m a Dad), but some great older songs like ABC (Jackson 5). I would never spend the money on a Wii, but this is totally worth it. It takes a little bit to really get used to the menus, but once you do it’s totally intuitive. When we hit the rainy season, this is going to be a great way to keep the kids exercising (without them knowing it…)

Everything a scooter should be, August 30, 2008

I bought this for my sons 12th birthday. He had been wanting one for some time. I was amazed at how fast it can go. My only problem now is that I need another one for my other son. I would definitely recommend this product to others. I was able to assemble it with ease. My only negative comment is that there is no way to monitor how much charge is left. Overall it is awesome.

I was a little worried about the power and battery life after reading some of the poor reviews; however, I purchased the scooter because there were so many good reviews. I gave it to my son for his birthday (he really wanted a Sony PSP), and he loves the scooter. We have moderate size hills in our area, and the scooter has no problem climbing them at a fair pace. The battery lasted longer than I expected. It’s a quality built scooter–very sturdy. It is easy to assemble and they provide the tools to assemble. The only thing is that the rear-wheel tire inflator extender is difficult to find. You have to pry the end of the right (throttle side) hand grip.

It has met my expectations, and when I asked my son if he wanted me to return the scooter and purchase a PSP, he smiled and said: “I didn’t know about the scooter; I want the scooter!” NOW, I’ll probably have to purchase another scooter for my daughter.

It’s wonderful because a) it grabs her attention and delights her during what is usually a very shaky, depressing, hungry time of day, b) it’s not like a video game in which you have a catatonic child in your backseat who refuses to talk–it’s an interactive learning toy that prompts questions and interesting conversations, and c) it’s not obnoxious–no weird beeping, no shooting noises, no electronic “music.” It’s filled with great music that’s real. (The most obnoxious it gets is when she repeatedly clicks on an interesting phrase. Last week we heard “It was spectacular!” five times, before she informed us what she believes “spectacular” means.) It’s not often when our child thinks that a toy is as awesome as her parents do. But I can tell this one is definitely on her short list. It’s the only toy that regularly travels from the car to the living room, to the kitchen table, to the bedroom, and then back to the car. That’s right. She *carries* it. She doesn’t ask us to carry it around for her. As far as I’m concerned, that’s the highest praise you can give.

We have owned a my first leappad, leappad, and a leapster and of all of these none have been played with as much as the Tag! My 3 year old loves it and her older brother of 6 steals it from her to “read” the books. So we will be getting another one very soon! But just so you know the Tag comes in pink also. My only option where I live was a green but thats ok. I would upgrade the memory thought, it can only hold 5 books. this Tag is so wonderful, I wont be suprised if I buy all the books that it works with. I believe the reason it only holds five is because only 5 books will fit in the carry case that you can get. But on the other hand you can play the stories without the books at anytime. (at least i think you can). this is a wonderful purchase and i totally do not regret it! We are a military family and when we move( as we do so often) the Tag will not be in the purged piles of junk we shead everytime, but our leappad and my first leappad will!

I had a 16GB iPod touch but couldn’t resist the upgrade-itis. The new one has a built-in speaker, better sound quality, and a nicer shape. The speaker isn’t great, but it does allow for a quick public listen. I could immediately tell the new one had better sound quality with less noise and greater bass. The new shape is just more pleasing to hold in your hands or pocket. The only downside is the back–it will scratch very easily.

Let me start off by saying that this is the first iPod I’ve owned. I was never particularly interested before as I’ve never been a big fan of listening to music with earbuds or headphones. I’d much rather sit in my car, or a comfortable chair to enjoy my songs. I read the reviews of this product, both here, and on the web, prior to purchase. In the “For What It’s Worth Dept.”, here are my observations.

- For checking eMail, surfing the net, listening to music, and keeping track of your day-to-day activities, there’s nothing out there even close.

- Beautifully made, surprisingly durable, and remarkably affordable with Apple’s trademark intuitive interface.

- Shipping time was as promised. I use “Super Saver” because I’m cheap In fact. I had two $100.00 Amazon Gift Certificates so this purchase was a no-brainer. Between those, no sales tax, or shipping, I saved about $248.00 over retail.

- Yes, the WiFi is buggy. I own a top-of-the-line Vaio laptop and an iMac and the WiFi is sometimes buggy in those too. There isn’t a device out using WiFi that doesn’t occasionally have problems. I find if I cycle the Touch’s WiFi on and off, this will take care of any problems. I don’t have to do this often.

- No, it’s not an iPhone. I didn’t want an iPhone. If you want an iPhone, BUY an iPhone.

I was lucky to grab the last Elmo today locally and my three kids, a 2 year old, 5 year old, and a 7 year old, have been playing with Elmo ever since. They absolutely love it. The neighbors and other family members have been over to see Elmo go. He does sooooo many things, tells stories does dances, plays games, and other quirky fun things. It is so life-like it keeps the kids and adults amazed. My sister has struck out at many stores today and has been told it will be very hard to find this christmas. So if you find one, grab it, as these are definitely THE hit toy this year.

Who is Elmo?
Elmo is a great character from Sesame Street. His enthusiasm is contagious to children of all ages.

We were given this as a gift and I cannot believe how really fun it is for my daughter. Elmo stands up and moves his arms with inflections that match his voice.

I am not sure how much different this is than the TMX version. At the toddler age group children are at the animism stage of development. They assume all items are animated and alive. This toy delivers on that in spades. My daughter talks to Elmo like he is an alive friend it is REALLY cute (although I am a bit biased).

With all toys that make noise the parents can get a bit annoyed with the repetitive sounds and noises. I have yet to be annoyed with this at all, which is saying a lot.

Pros – Fun interactive toy. Engages children with a familiar face and activities. When you pick him up, tickle him, grab his nose; he has an appropriate response.

Cons – The motors and servos are a bit noisy but manageable. I don’t know how the long term quality is but I gave it 4 stars because it seems fragile in some respects.

All in all this Elmo Live will be the hit around the house this holiday season.

I just received one that I purchased for my 2 year old niece for Christmas. It is awesome!! It’s by far the best Elmo ever and probably the best toy I’ve ever seen – no kidding!! I haven’t seen much advertising yet for him, but when it starts, I would think that they will probably be hard to find. Definitely a “must buy”!!

A Very Fun Musical Experience!, October 25, 2008

Fun:

This is a very fun musical game/experience. I just bought the game and my 12-year old son and I played for almost three hours. I don’t know why two earlier reviewers made comments like “what a joke” or “not for anyone over 5″ unless they were expecting a playing experience similar to Rock Band or Guitar Hero. This game is very different–and that is why I like it. You actually have some input into the sounds, rhythm and style. Plus, it’s fun using the Wii remote to mimic the playing style of the different instruments.

Five-year olds will love it–but so will a lot of other ages. And, while you can keep things simple (for the five-year olds), you can also make things quite complex if you want. Plus, my son loves watching the videos we create. Overall, this is one of the best Wii games I’ve purchased or rented.

I played this game previously at E3 and thought this would be juuust boring and too easy for adults and just for under 3rd graders. I have to admit that my impression at E3 was a mistake. I was totally WRONG. I am sorry, Nintendo – or Mitamoto san. You proved again that you are one of the greatest video game creators. I received this one from Amazon and played for 6 hours. Beleive me, this is very very fun. Forget some of other negative reviews. I am serious. First, it is not so easy to create a perfect performance particulary with freinds/families. The process through which we improve our performance made us feel engaging, sometimes frustrated, and very very happy in the end. The key is that you can record your performance as a video file and watch your performance together, laughing at your partners’ play. You can also send your video to your friends via internet.
You are not competing against others’ score. You and your friends have to create the best performace together and record it as video. The process is very entertaining. Nintendo knows what the video game is and why people will feel happy when they play it.

The second time he is tickled, he falls over backwards, rolls from left to right, then gets back up again, saying, “That was good.” The doll moves best on a hard, flat surface and struggles a little when placed on carpet. But that was the only setback discovered during the hands-on testing process. A discreet on-off switch on his foot allows you to turn the doll off, if you’re in need of some quiet time. Overall, T.M.X. Cookie Monster makes a great toy for its target age range. Even adults will crack a smile as this jolly character shakes and rolls with laughter.
